Richard A. Hoff – Director
Richard/Rick, has dedicated 27 years to the practice of Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation. His professional journey in this specialized field began on the 1st of August, 1997, in Modesto. Over the years, Rick has pursued extensive studies and gained significant experience, including studying under the tutelage of John Barnes, PT. His commitment to mastering the techniques led him to clinical experiences at John Barnes’ Myofascial Release clinics located in Sedona, AZ, and Paoli, PA.
In addition to his collaboration with John Barnes, Rick has ventured into teaching through his seminar business, MFTC Seminars, showcasing his depth of knowledge and passion for sharing it with others. His exploration of osteopathic therapy extended to the teachings of Jean-Pierre Barral, DO, BI-D Visceral Manipulation. Rick has been immersed in studying Barral’s methods for over ten years and has been an instructor for Barral for the past five years.
Rick’s enthusiasm and dedication to osteopathic therapy have not only allowed him to treat thousands of individuals in Modesto but also to extend his expertise globally, and now to those in Crescent City. His passion for the work continues to be a source of daily inspiration and motivation, driving him to explore further depths of the practice and share his invaluable experiences with the world.

Rich-Allana/Rikki embarked on her journey into the world of Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation in June of 2022. Before officially starting her practice, she spent a year honing her skills under the mentorship of Rick, while also engaging in intensive study through school and various seminars. This period of preparation set a solid foundation for her career, highlighting the significance of both hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in her field.
Her educational journey did not stop with her initial training; Rikki continues to delve into the methodologies of John Barnes, PT, for Myofascial Release, and Jean-Pierre Barral, DO, BI-D, for Visceral Manipulation. She is currently taking steps to become a teaching assistant for seminars related to Barral’s work, with aspirations to eventually move into a full teaching role. This ambition reflects her commitment to not only mastering her craft but also sharing her knowledge and skills with others in the field.
Rikki views herself as both a lifelong student and teacher, embodying the essence of continuous learning and development. She eagerly anticipates the years ahead, where she will not only assist her patients but also contribute to the growth of her peers. With an unwavering spark of curiosity and a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, Rikki is poised to leave a lasting mark on the practice of osteopathic therapy.
